Karl is the President and CEO of Chevron College, Managing Director of Oiliúna Training, Master Franchisee for Bricks 4 Kidz Ireland and a Past President of Wexford Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Wexford. Karl also presents Business Matters, South East Radio’s flagship business programme. This media platform provides him with unrivalled access to leading national and international business figures, in both the public and private sectors.
Education has always been a key ingredient in Karl’s success. He is an active member of the American Association for Talent Development and travels to the US annually to attend their international conferences. This enables Karl to identify global emerging trends within the training and education sector, which is reflected in his portfolio of education based businesses.
Furthermore, Karl holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from University College Cork, a PRINCE2® Project Management qualification and has participated in Enterprise Ireland’s gold standard Postgraduate Diploma in ‘International Selling Programme’, which is designed to assist high potential Irish companies strengthen their positions in international markets.
Karl is also a former director of Chambers Ireland, which is Ireland’s largest business organisation and has had the honour of being its representative in the European Parliament on three separate occasions. As Ireland’s spokesperson on skills at this event, Karl had the opportunity to present to some of the most influential business and political figures in Europe. Karl utilised this platform to spotlight the need to incorporate educational play methods in the teaching of STEM to primary school children across Europe to address future employment skills needs and to highlight how apprenticeships could play a fundamental role in solving the youth unemployment epidemic on the Continent.
Karl is also a Director of The Irish Franchise Association and a member of the Wexford Local Enterprise Office’s Evaluation and Approvals Committee (EVAC).
